And I'm still glad to be here!
Although this month has been totally insane between driving lessons, apartment hunting, and car shopping, I would definitely classify it as happy insanity!
Here is a list of the simple things I love about Southern California:
- Weather - It's November and I don't have to wear a coat out during daylight hours. (WHAT?! No, I don't miss the "seasons"! Psh!)
- Space - The abundance!
- Frozen Yogurt - Cali has their froyo DOWN! It's everywhere, it's amazing and it's CHEAP!
- Driving- I'm a little bit terrified, a little bit loving it. (Plus. PLUS! It is amazing how many people don't honk here! LA drivers are crazy, but everyone just deals with it... because apparently people in LA know what New Yorker's don't- Honking doesn't help! It just makes the situation more frustrating! Major points for Cali here.)
- Food- Especially Mexican, Korean, donuts, and all produce.
- Prices- compared to NYC? CHEAP. And I'm getting way more bang for my buck on my rent, which is SUPER exciting.
- The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf - ....ummmm. Red Velvet hot chocolate. That's all I'm gonna say.
- And finally, more of the people I love most in the world are a simple car ride away. (Emphasis on more because there are still people I love most in the world on the east coast.)
Shawn and I are truly embarking on a brand new chapter here. I am excited and hopeful for the potential of our California future.
Imma be drivin'. Imma be workin'. Imma be livin'.
